Four Trojans Earn South Atlantic Conference Postseason Honors

Rock Hill, S.C. – Four Anderson University women's soccer players, freshman Kaitlyn Gregory, sophomores Meggie Powell, Camryn Woods and Kylie Swanson earned postseason South Atlantic Conference honors, released by the league late Wednesday morning.

Anderson (8-7-2, 6-3-2 SAC) finished fourth after regular season play, earning host rights for one of the SAC quarterfinals rounds. The Trojans faced-off with fifth-seeded Carson-Newman falling in double overtime, 2-1.

Gregory was named to the All-SAC Second Team after a stellar freshman season. The native of Cincinnati, Ohio saw action in all 17 matches with starts in six. Gregory scored four goals and recorded four assists.

Powell earned All-SAC Second Team making all 17 starts for the Black and Gold. The native of Johnson City, Tenn. Scored three goals and was credited with two assists. Powell also did a tremendous job protecting the goal for the Trojans.

Woods garnered All-SAC Third Team honors after being slowed down by a knee injury. The native of Bettendorf, Iowa played in 13 contests making 13 starts. Woods scored two goals, both game-winners, and recorded four assists for AU.

Swanson was named to the All-SAC Third Team. The native of Southlake, Texas made all 17 starts. Swanson scored three goals, two of which were game winners. She also took 14 shots with five coming on goal.
