Costa Named Women's Soccer Assistant Coach

ANDERSON, S.C. - Anderson women's soccer head coach Sarah Jacobs has announced the hiring of Francisco Costa as an assistant coach with the Trojans.

Costa is replacing Stephanie Cradduck who served as the women's assistant coach from March 2020 and was promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2023 season. Cradduck has accepted a head coaching position at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

Costa joins the Trojans from Young Harris College where he served as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College men's soccer program for two seasons after serving one year as a volunteer coach.

During his stint at Young Harris, Costa helped lead the men's program to a 34-9-11 overall record which includes a regular season Peach Belt Conference title (18-0-2, 11-0-1) and PBC Tournament title in 2021.

Costa, who grew up in Portugal, played soccer for the IMG Soccer Academy in Bradenton, Florida, He graduated from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, where he earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science and minored in psychology and physical education with an emphasis in coaching.

Costa holds a United States Soccer Federation "D" License.
