Six Women’s Soccer Athletes Earn 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District

ANDERSON, S.C. – Six student-athletes from Anderson University women's soccer team earn 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District, released by the association on Tuesday.

Seniors Victoria McGovern, Bethany Anderson, Kristen Cole, Lina Powell and sophomores Camryn Woods and Meggie Powell met the nominating criteria which included a 3.5 or above GPA and at least 90 percent participation during the 2023 season. Nominations were limited to six per institution.

The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-, second- and third-team Academic All[1]America® honorees will be announced in early December.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All[1]America® programs.

The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
