ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University freshman Kaitlyn Gregory and senior Sadie Kluner have been named the Jimmy John's Co - Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 12th.
Gregory, a women's soccer player from Cincinnati, Ohio played 133 minutes overall during a two-match span against nonconference opponent Emmanuel and SAC member Carson-Newman. Gregory recorded her first career goal and assist during the Emmanuel victory and assisted the winning goal against C-N. The Trojans went 2-0 on the week.
Kluner, a women’s volleyball player from Venice, Fla. also earned the SAC WePlayed Sports Offensive Player of the Week award this week, helping her team to a 4-1 record. She recorded 64 kills over those five matches, average 3.56 kills pers set with a .318 hitting percentage. She was also able to tally eight blocks on the week. Her stellar performance helped lead her squad to a win over No. 12 Barry.
