HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The Anderson University women's soccer team placed two players on the 2008 All-Conference Carolinas team announced Thursday afternoon. Virginia Cates, a senior forward from Byron, Mich., and Ashley Hollander, a freshman defender from Rock Hill, S.C., both were named to the third team. Cates led Anderson in goals scored (9), points (20), and shots (43). She scored three game-winning goals. Hollander helped anchor AU's defense, which recorded two shutouts in conference play and allowed one goal or less in six matches.
