Lady Trojans Snap Losing Streak

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Larissa Fedorowich scored two goals and Whitney Branch scored one goal and had one assist to lead Anderson University to a 4-1 victory over Mount Olive in a Conference Carolinas match Saturday afternoon at Smethers Field. The victory snaps a five-match losing streak for Anderson and improves the Lady Trojans to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference. Mount Olive falls to 2-7, 1-3. Branch opened the scoring for Anderson at the 19:04 mark. Fedorowich followed with goals at 31:24 and 33:27. Branch assisted on Fedorowich's first goal. Mount Olive broke up the shutout at 38:40 when Cara Paxson converted a penalty kick. Virginia Cates, off an assist from Kristin Page, closed the scoring for Anderson at 58:12. Both teams took 16 shots. Kelli Whitfield made six saves to pick up the victory in the Anderson net.
