ANDERSON, S.C. -- Coming off one of the most successful campaigns in school history, the Anderson women's soccer program has been named one of the top-20 most improved DII women's soccer programs in the nation by Somis Sports.
"It is a great honor to be recognized as one the most improved programs in the country," Anderson head coach Jason Dowiak. "It reinforces the idea that we are moving in the right direction as a program and proves how dedicated our players are to establishing a tradition of success."
This past fall the Trojans reached new heights en route to their first-ever appearance in the championship match of the Conference Carolinas tournament, nearly reaching the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. As they posted an overall 12-9 record and an 8-3 conference record, AU earned the most conference wins in school history - eight - and their nine-match winning streak late in the season also set a new school record.
