DUE WEST, S.C. -- The Anderson women's soccer team surrendered two early second-half goals and dropped a 2-1 decision to Erskine Wednesday night at Huggins Field. Anderson fell to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in Conference Carolinas while Erskine moved to 2-4 overall and 2-1 in league action. Sophomore Kristin Page scored the Trojans' lone goal of the contest when she rocketed a bullet to the back post, but the AU defense, which was stellar throughout the match, gave up two early second-half goals. "As a team we played very well for more than 60 minutes with constant attacks and pushes for goals," said Anderson head coach Jason Dowiak. "As the game got later and later we showed our youth and lost focus of our game plan to build our attack through possession. As for our three defenders in the back, they were strong all game and did all they could to keep us in this one. And Kristin played perhaps the best game of her career. She was great." The Trojans wrap up their conference road trip at Pfeiffer on Saturday, Sept. 26. Kick-off is slated for Noon at the Falcons' N.E. Lefko Field.
