ANDERSON, S.C. -- Limestone scored three second-half goals to beat Anderson University 3-0 in a CVAC women's match Tuesday afternoon at Smethers Field. Limestone, 2-3-3 overall and 1-1 in the CVAC, scored its first goal just 25 seconds into the second half when Jenna Mellon lofted a ball that bounced high off the turf in front of Lee Cribb, who hit a one-timer into the Anderson net. The Saints increased their lead to 2-0 at 73:29 when Jill Pratt scored off an assist from Kristina Gaylord. Limestone's final goal came at 84:09 when Ashley Vaughn collected a loose ball, dribbled 10 yards and then beat Anderson goalkeeper Kelli Whitfield. Limestone outshot Anderson, 18-7.
