HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Anderson University's Lasse Sohrweide (9-3-2 overall, 6-0-2 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's soccer Player of the Week for week number eight of the 2008 season. Sohrweide played a major role in Anderson increasing its winning streak to six and its unbeaten streak to nine last week. The freshmen from Flensburg, Germany scored both goals in Anderson's 2-0 victory over arch-rival Erskine College then assisted on the Golden Goal in a hard-fought 2-1 double overtime victory over Coker College. On the season, Sohrweide leads Anderson in shots (39), points (20), and goals scored (9).
