Red-Hot Trojans Sink The Fleet

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University men's soccer team won its fifth straight match and increased its unbeaten streak to eight with a 2-0 victory over Erskine in a Conference Carolinas match Tuesday night at Smethers Field. Anderson, 8-3-2 overall and 5-0-2 in the conference, got both goals from Lasse Sohrweide, who increased his season total to nine. The victory also moved the Trojans into first place in the conference standings, one point ahead of Lees-McRae. Sohrweide, a freshman from Flensburg, Germany, scored his first goal at 36:17 on a penalty kick. His second goal came at 59:53 when he headed in a corner kick from Zach Denson. Benjamin Pepion stopped two shots to earn the shutout in the Anderson net, his third of the season. Anderson outshot Erskine, 15-9. The loss drops Erskine to 6-6, 3-2.
