ANDERSON, S.C. - Lincoln Memorial junior forward Sarah Taylor scored with three minutes remaining in the second overtime to lift the visiting Lady Railsplitters to a 2-1 win past Anderson in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action Saturday afternoon at Trojan Stadium.

Anderson (6-10-1, 2-6 SAC) suffered its third consecutive setback, while Lincoln Memorial (10-4, 3-4 SAC) snapped a four-match losing streak with the victory.

Taylor put the Lady Railsplitters on the scoreboard in the early minutes of the second half after the two squads played the first half and more than 52 minutes scoreless.
Taylor's goal came from 15 yards outside the frame on the right side and slipped just past the outstretched hands of Anderson goalkeeper Kaitlin Neipp.

The Trojans' Britta Widenhouse lofted a shot over LMU goalkeeper Sarah Thompson in the 83rd minute to score the equalizer from 35 yards off the right side of the frame and after playing the remainder of regulation with no additional goals, LMU and Anderson went to overtime.

The teams remained deadlocked until the 107 mark when Taylor scored her second goal of the match from the left side to give the Lady Railsplitters the 2-1 overtime win.

Anderson's Kaitlin Neipp collected eight saves on the afternoon, while LMU's Thompson tallied three saves.

Anderson closes out its regular-season slate at Wingate on Wednesday, with an opportunity to qualify for next month's conference tournament that begins on Tuesday, Nov. 2. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the WU Soccer Complex.
