Anderson, S.C.— Anderson University women's basketball senior Samantha Michel has been named the Jimmy John's Player of the Week for games played during the week of Jan. 18th of the 2020-21 season.
Michel, a senior from Apex, N.C. scored a career high with 27 points and pulled down a career high 16 rebounds, in the Trojans, 73-59 setback at South Atlantic Conference opponent Limestone on Saturday afternoon. Michel played 40 minutes, she also dished out one assist, rejected four shots and was credited with one steal.
The Black and Gold are 7-5 overall on the season and will travel to Mars Hill tonight to face the Lions. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
Jimmy John's is the title sponsor of the Anderson University Player of the Week awards program.
