Rock Hill, S.C.— Anderson University Samantha Michel earns this week's South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played in the tenth week of the 2020-21 season.
A senior forward, Michel, helped lead the Trojans to a 2-0 conference record this past weekend. She scored 23 points and 13 rebounds and five blocks against Mars Hill, while pouring in 26 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks versus Coker to close out the weekend. Michel played all 80 minutes and averaged 24.5 points, 13 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game. Overall, the Apex, N.C., native averaged 42.9 percent from the floor, while also going 23-for-37 from the line. This is Michel's first Player of the Week honor this season.
