Cross Country Women 12th, Men 14th at Disney

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Sophomore Whitney Bishoff posted an impressive fourth-place finish overall to lead the Anderson women's cross country team to a 12th-place finish at the prestigious 14th Annual WALT DISNEY WORLD Cross Country Classic, while senior Alex Jordan paced the men's squad to an overall 14th-place finish by crossing the finish line in 13th. Junior Chelsea Rogers (20.55.80) notched a 69th -place finish, while Lynne Flint crossed the finish line in 86th. Freshmen Emily Eckroth (21:29.40) placed 96th overall, with Isabel Berry (24:35.90) crossing in 216th and Amanda Johnson (26:13.10) finishing 242nd. Anderson senior Alex Jordan (26:35.60) paced the men's squad in the 8k event, with Nigel Reynolds (28:37.90) claiming 65th and freshman Alex Pena (28:51.70) crossing the finish line in 74th . Sophomore Jonathan Stephens (29:57.70) and a pair of freshmen, Matt Shaffer (32:02.30) and Ryne Welch (35:36.50) rounded out the scoring for AU, placing 111th, 155th and 178th respectively. Anderson has nearly two weeks before competing at the Conference Carolinas championships on Oct. 23.
