ANDERSON, S.C. -- Former Anderson runner Michael Allio has joined the Anderson University cross country/track and field programs as an assistant coach, head coach Randy Greer announced Friday. Allio, a graduate of Chesnee High School in Chesnee, S.C., earned his B.S. in biology from Anderson in May 2005. He is currently working on his masters degree in education at Converse College. Allio has 10 years of competitive running experience. At Chesnee, he was a member of four conference championship teams. During his career, Chesnee as won the upstate championship and finished second in the state in Class AA. At Anderson, he was a member of the cross country team and ran the steeplechase in track. During his career, Allio has worked as a contract photographer and he has done numerous sports photography projects. Allio is has Level 1 certification from USA Track and Field.
