Both Cross Country Teams Finish Third

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Both Anderson University cross country teams finished third in the Eye Opener Meet Saturday morning at the Milliken Course. The Anderson women placed three runners in the top 15 to finish third (130 points) in the 24-team 5K race behind winner Milligan (19 points) and second-place Lees-McRae (123 points). Anderson was led by Jennifer Hitt, who finished fifth in the 181-runner field with a time 19:44. Kasey Harold (20:19, 12th) and Diana Willard (20:20, 13th) also recorded top-15 finishes for the Lady Trojans. Jacklyn Talbert led a 1-2-3-4 finish by Milligan with time of 19:28. Anderson placed three runners in the top 20 in the 22-team 8K race -- Nathan Parsons (27:19, 6th), Alex Jordan (28:02, 16th), and Jason Bryan (28:09, 20th). Mars Hill won the men's meet with 74 points. St. Andrews Presbyterian was second with 99 points, and Anderson was third with 103 points. Jon Stoehr of Mars Hill finished first in the 172-runner field with a time of 26:14. 2006 Anderson Cross Country Results
