Anderson Men First, Women Second At Lander

GREENWOOD, S.C. -- The Anderson University men's cross country team placed four runners in the top 10 to dominate the Lander Invitational Saturday. In the women's race, Anderson placed three runners in the top eight to finish second, just five points behind meet winner Augusta State. The Anderson men were led by Nathan Parsons (27:28, 2nd), Jason Bryan (27:55, 4th), Alex Jordan (28:08, 5th), and Matt Atkinson (28:30, 8th). The Trojans finished the meet with 31 points, 30 points ahead of second-place Presbyterian, and 43 points ahead of third-place Erskine. The leaders for the Lady Trojans were Diana Willard (20:12, 2nd), Kasey Harold (20:46, 3rd), and Megan Deaton (21:27, 8th). Augusta State won the women's meet with 52 points by placing six runners in the top 18. 2006 Anderson Cross Country Results
