Men's Track and Field Completes 2022 Trojan Opener

ANDERSON, S.C. – On Saturday (Mar. 19), the Anderson University men's track and field team completed the 2022 Trojan Opener, the first ever home meet held on campus.

The men's 4x400 relay team consisting of Ben Molitor, Zach Cannon, Ian Macurda, and Hunter Norman finished in third place in a time of 3:37.35.

David Mahnke ran well in the 800m, coming in third place at a pace of 1:59.15, with Ian Macurda finishing in 11th place at 2:10.90. Ben Molitor finished fourth in the 400m in a time of 50.63. Hunter Norman completed the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:02.35.

"It was a great weekend for our program," said coach Kevin Eagle. "It meant a lot to our coaches, athletes, and administration to host our first track and field meet. Our focus now turns to the Raleigh Relays next weekend."
