Men's Track and Field Completes SAC Indoor Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Anderson University men's track and field completed the final day of the 2022 SAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday (Feb. 27), finishing in 11th place.

Spain Vaughan took seventh in the mile run in a time of 4:18.39. Philip Quillen (8:34.18) and Daniel Similton (8:35.73) both finished inside the top-16 in the 3000m. Simeon Respress took home eighth place in the high jump with a distance of 1.82m. In the shot put, Grayson Smith recorded a distance of 9.51m. Hunter Norman and Zach Cannon completed the heptathlon with 2696 and 2532 points, respectively. Quillen's 14:29.88 mark in the 5000m provisionally qualifies him for NCAA nationals. 

This concludes the indoor season for the Trojans. The NCAA National Championships are being held in Pittsburg, Kansas (Mar. 11 – 12). The Trojan Opener, the first meet of the outdoor season, will be held at home March 18 and 19th. More information can be found at www.autrojans.com.
