ANDERSON, S.C. - Paced by junior Lasse Sohrweide's two goals, the Anderson men's soccer team wrapped up its home schedule with a 3-1 win past Lincoln Memorial in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon at Trojan Stadium.

Anderson (11-4-1, 6-2 SAC) celebrated both Homecoming and honored its seniors by improving to 8-1 at home this season behind its seven match win streak and has won eight of its last nine contests.

Lincoln Memorial dropped to 9-4-1 overall and 5-2 in the conference while having its three-match win streak broken.

The Trojans found the back of the net first in the 63rd minute when Lasse Sohrweirde scored on a penalty kick to give Anderson a 1-0 lead with 27:01 to play. LMU got the equalizer in the 85th minute when sophomore Chris Nash slipped a shot into the net from about 25 yards outside the right side of the frame.

Tied 1-1, LMU and Anderson were looking as though they might go into overtime until the 88th minute when Sohrweirde tallied his second goal by squeezing a shot into the frame just off the right post to give AU a 2-1 advantage.

The Trojan's sealed the victory less than a minute later when Scott Clapperton put AU on top 3-1 by scoring on a breakaway from 35 yards out on the left side. Anderson held off the Railsplitters in the remaining seconds to come away with the win.
Trojan goalkeeper Lukas Hesse finished the match with four saves, while LMU net-minder Michael Watkins recorded five saves in the loss.

Anderson plays its final regular-season contest at Wingate on Wednesday, looking to finish at least fourth in the league standings and host a first round contest in the conference tournament on Wednesday, Nov. 3. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the WU Soccer Complex.
