Coleman and Keever Capture First-Team All-America Accolades

WARREN, Ohio – Anderson men's golf standouts Reece Coleman and Calahan Keever have been named as NCAA Division II PING First-Team All-America honorees by the Golf Coaches of America (GCAA), as announced late Wednesday night.

At the conclusion of the NCAA Division II Championship, nine individuals from around the nation were announced and the talented duo was included in the group.

Coleman and Keever helped set the standard for the Trojans this past season, with the Black and Gold rising to the No. 1 spot in the national rankings last October and holding on to the top spot through the end of the regular season.

AU opened the year with five straight tournament championships and strengthened its hold on its No. 1 ranking by winning two of its final three tournaments and finished the year with seven tournament titles, including the program's first-ever South Atlantic Conference title.

The Trojans made the program's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 2008 and finished 10th at the Southeast/South Regional Championship against arguably the toughest field in the country.

Coleman, a four-time All-Conference honoree and the SAC Golfer of the Year, carded five of the top-seven 54-hole scores in program history this season and wrapped up the season ranked sixth nationally by Golfstat, while posting a 70.83 stroke average.

The Port Elizabeth, South Africa, native won Georgia Southwestern's Hurricane Invitational and finished as runner-up at Columbus State's Cougar Invitational, while notching four third-place finishes.

Keever, who is currently tabbed seventh nationally by Golfstat, earned First-Team All-SAC accolades in mid-April after winning both the North Georgia Intercollegiate and the Lincoln Memorial Spring Kickoff. The Greenville native owned six top-10 finishes and set the school record with his 9-under 63 in the final round of LMU's Spring Kick-off.
