Trojans Wrap Up Spring Bulldog Clash

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. -- Anderson's men's golf competed among seven Top-25 teams at the Spring Bulldog Clash in Pawley's Island, S.C. this week (Feb. 26-27), finishing the tournament with a team score of 299-293-298.

"Just a really poor week. We felt like we came up with a good game plan but just didn't exeucte the shots," said head coach Austin Castles. "We'll always take any positives away that we can each week, but we definitely have a lot of work to do and a lot of growing to do."

Shooting 74-71-75, junior Simon Wright (Lancaster, S.C.) led the Trojans, followed by senior Daniel Coker (Hartsville, S.C.) who carded rounds of 74-71-76. Sam McMillan (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) shot a team-best round one of 73(+3), while Jamie Markwick carded a 73(+3) round three.

"We'll do our best to regroup this week and go give it another go next week at the Bearcat Invitational," said Castles.

The Trojans are back on the road next week (March 4-5) as they travel to Greenwood, S.C. to compete in the Lander Bearcat Classic.
