Trojans Travel to Tennessee

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Anderson's men's golf team heads to Tennessee next week (March 25-26) to compete in the Tennessee River Rumble hosted in Lenoir City by Lincoln Memorial. The tournament will be played at the Wind River Golf Club with 36 holes on Monday, followed by 18 on Tuesday. Live results can be found here.

"Very excited to play this week at the River Rumble" said head coach Austin Castles. "Always one of my favorite events of the year. It's a place that I feel sets up good for us and gives us a really good chance to compete."

The Trojans are represented by Daniel Coker (Hartsville, S.C.), Simon Wright (Lancaster, S.C.), Jamie Markwick (Bishop's Waltham, Eng.) Luke Sullivan (Columbia, S.C.) and Sam McMillan (Mount Pleasant, S.C.).

"I'm very excited about the lineup this week," said Castles. "We have a great mixture of upperclassmen and freshmen which I think is great. The upperclassmen have a wealth of knowledge at this golf course and should be able to help guide the freshmen."

Anderson will be joined in the field by No.1 Noth Georgia, No. 2 Lincoln Memorial, No. 3 Grand Valley State, No. 6 USC Aiken, No. 10 Lander, No. 17 Barton, No. 24 Coker, Belmont Abbey, Carson-Newman, Erskine, King, Lenoir-Rhyne, Limestone, Newberry, North Greenville, Tusculum, Wingate, and Union.

"I think we'll go have a really good week and gain some momentum heading into the conference championship."

Following the weekend, the Trojans enter postseason play at the South Atlantic Conference Championships in Orangeburg, S.C. April 21-23.
