Women's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at Royals XC Challenge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Anderson University women's cross-country team finished in fifth place with a total of 190 points, a time of 1:34.25, and an average individual time of 18:53 in the 5k at the Royals XC Challenge.

Whitney Hanson led the way for the Trojans by finishing in 21st with a time of 18:23.7. Elise Matthews came in 42nd at 18:51.3, while Faith Nelson (18:55.6) and Emily Golden (18:56.1) both finished in the Top-50. Freshman Emma Whitaker paced at 19:18.2, with Jodi Ann Martin close behind at 19:23.5.

Freshmen Lucy Schmitt (19:27.7) and Sarah Rudolph (19:33.9) both ran well for the Trojans. Aubrey Quillen (19:50.5), Rebecca Ward (20:03.8), Hagan Wilson (20:11.7), Mclayne Wyatt (20:21), Alysse Rowland (20:32.5), Madison Crumley (21:00), and Hannah Reedy (21:24.3) were other notable finishers for Anderson.
