Women's Cross Country Wins NCAA Elite 90 Team GPA Award

SEATTLE, WA. – The Anderson University women's cross-country team has been awarded the NCAA Elite 90 Team GPA Award with a cumulative GPA of 3.89, announced at the opening ceremonies of the 2022 NCAA Nationals on Tuesday (Nov. 29) evening in Seattle, Washington.

For the fourth time in five years, the women's cross-country program has qualified for NCAA Nationals. The Trojans were led by Whitney Hanson, Jodi Ann Martin, Elise Matthews, and Emily Golden who were named to the USTFCCCA Southeast All-Region team by finishing in the Top 25 at regionals. The same four along with Faith Nelson were selected to the second all-South Atlantic Conference team, meanwhile Emma Whitaker and Sarah Rudolph were selected to the All-Freshmen team. Aubrey Quillen won the Elite 23 Award with a 4.0 GPA in Christian Studies and Missions. And to top things off, coach Kevin Eagle was awarded the USTFCCCA Women's Southeast Region Coach of the Year.

The NCAA National Championships are set for Friday, December 2nd in Seattle, Washington. The men's 10k will take place at 10:00 AM PT with the women's 6k following at 11:15 AM PT. Coverage can be found at www.autrojans.com.
