Men's Track and Field Completes Gotta Run Invite

CENTRAL, S.C. – The Anderson University men's track and field team had a very successful day at the Gotta Run Invite on Saturday (Apr. 3) by completing several top-10 finishes and personal best marks.

Philip Quillen and Ben Clark led the way for the Trojans as they both earned second place finishes in their respective events. Quillen had a mark of 9:37.53 in the 3000m steeple and Clark finished at 16:10.05 in the 5000m.

Jonathan Roberts placed fifth in the 1500m (4:12.42), while Hunter Norman came in seventh in the 800m (2:02.69). Conner Wheatley recorded a pair of top-10 finishes in the shot put (12.37m) and discus throw (35.37m).

"It was a fantastic day for our team," said coach Kevin Eagle. "With less than one month to go until the SAC championships, we are looking to fine tune our fitness and get ready for the postseason."
