ROCK HILL, S.C. - Anderson senior Camie Beaulieu-Brunet has been named the South Atlantic Conference women's tennis Player of the Week, as announced by conference officials on Monday.
Beaulieu-Brunet posted a combined 5-1 singles and doubles record on the week, including four combined wins in conference play at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, and the No. 2 doubles flight. She earned one of AU's three singles' wins versus Augusta State and was a perfect 3-0 on the singles' side, helping lead the Trojans to a 2-1 team record, as AU blanked Catawba, 9-0, defeated Brevard, 7-2, and fell, 5-3, to Augusta State.
"Camie has recovered from her shoulder injury that sidelined her in the fall and the first half of this season," said Anderson head coach Joey Eskridge. "She is starting to play some really good tennis at the right time to help her team."
Beaulieu-Brunet has helped lead the Trojans to the most wins in
conference play (7-1) and improved to 11-2 overall in both singles
and doubles action on the season on the strength of a five-match
win streak in singles and has not dropped a singles' match since
suffering a narrow three-set loss at Limestone in
mid-February.
