ANDERSON, S.C. - Despite cold, blustery conditions, the Anderson women's tennis team opened the 2013 season by shutting out Coker, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.
Anderson moved to 1-0, while Coker slipped to 0-1 in the non-conference matchup.
The Trojans did not drop a set in the win past the Cobras, with Avery Owens, Hannah Ecleberry, Alexandra Ebner and Lindsay Gregory each notching a pair of wins.
Anderson will get back on the courts Sunday, when the Trojans visit Columbus State. First-serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
