ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson women's tennis team opened its home slate by rallying from a deficit following doubles' action to sweep singles as the Trojans topped Lander, 7-2, Wednesday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.

Anderson improved to 2-3, while snapping a two-match skid en route to handing Lander (3-1) its first loss of the season.

Anderson's Camie Beaulieu-Brunet and Shelby Anderson defeated the Bearcats' Aurelia Ruffat and Cayce Bradley, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles, but the Trojans fell behind 2-1 on the day after dropping the next two.

However, Anderson rallied to sweep the singles' action, claiming its first win past Lander in recent memory.

Anderson opens South Atlantic Conference play Saturday at Lenoir-Rhyne, with first-serve slated for 1 p.m.
