MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The 16th-ranked Georgia College women's tennis team claimed two of three doubles points and three on the singles' side to defeat Anderson, 5-1, Friday afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Complex.
Georgia College won its season opener, while Anderson dropped to 1-3 on the year.
Anderson's Camie Beaulieu-Brunet and Shelby Anderson teamed up to defeat Georgia College's May Johnson and Michelle Lingner, 9-8, at the No. 1 doubles slot to earn the Trojans lone win of the afternoon.
Anderson will get back on the courts Wednesday, when the Trojans play host to the Lander Bearcats at 2:30 p.m. on the Max Grubbs Memorial Tennis Courts.
