BELMONT ABBEY, N.C. - The Anderson University women's tennis team wrapped up its fall schedule by dropping just one set en route to shutting out Belmont Abbey, 9-0, in non-conference action Thursday afternoon at the Sacred Heart Courts.

Anderson improved to 1-1, while the Crusaders slipped to 1-2.

The Anderson tandem of Camie Beaulieu-Brunet and Shelby Anderson teamed up for the first time this season, outlasting Belmont Abbey's Kristie Jenkins and Katharine Miller, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles, while sophomores Avery Owens and Lauren Trumbull defeated BAC's Paige French and Brooke Ingram, 8-1, at the No. two slot. At No. three, AU freshmen Lindsay Gregory and Clair Larkin blanked Shannon Ramsey and Bridget Franer, 8-0.

AU kept it rolling in singles action, with Beaulieu-Brunet claiming a close decision at No. 1, while Owens evened her season record at 1-1, with a straight-set win at No. two. Trumbull and Larkin also earned straight-set wins at No. three and No. four, respectively.
