ANDERSON, S.C. - The Anderson women's tennis team bounced back from a close setback on Friday to down Lenoir-Rhyne, 8-1, in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.
The Trojans (7-3, 5-1 SAC) dropped just one point as they shut out the visiting Bears, who slipped to 1-7 overall and 1-3 in league play.
Freshman Lauren Trumbull claimed her seventh consecutive win, while improving to a team-best 8-1 overall and stayed perfect in SAC play at 6-0. Sophomore Emily Weiland extended her win streak to five matches and the doubles' tandem of Julie Halbert and Marcela Gallegos posted its' sixth straight win.
