ANDERSON, S.C. - After a two-week layoff, the Anderson University women's golf team is slated to return to the links for the three-day South Atlantic Conference Championship, beginning on Sunday.

For the third consecutive year, the event will be hosted at the Sevierville Country Club in Sevierville, Tenn., with a par-72 7,054-yard layout.

The Trojans placed ninth at last year's conference tournament, as AU outpaced Lenoir-Rhyne and Mars Hill. Then-senior Katie Eskew led the Trojan effort with a three-round 271 and finished 33rd, while Natalie Feder finished in a tie 38th with a three-round 275 total.

Led by senior Sarah Timms' two-day 23-over-par 167, the Trojans wrapped up the 2015 regular season with a 15th-place finish at Tusculum's Agnes McAmis Memorial Golf Invitational. Feder shared 43rd in Greeneville, with junior Garyt Hamilton finishing in a tie for 73rd. Arista Setro wrapped up the event tied for 83rd.

Furtick competed in five events during the year and led the Trojans with an 82.56 stroke average and posted the team's lowest score - a 75 at the AU Invitational last September. Feder posted a stroke average of 85.33 through all eight events during the year, while Timms was just behind with an 86.13 average.
