WINGATE, N.C. -- The Anderson University men's cross country team finished fifth and the AU women finished eighth at the NCAA regional meet at the Wingate University cross country course Saturday morning. Anderson's Diana Willard finished second in the women's 6K event to earn a trip to the NCAA Division II national meet Nov. 17 at Joplin, Missouri. Ashley McClellion, who finished 13th, joined Willard on the All-Region team. Lees-McRae won the women's team title. Host Wingate finished second. Stellah Sang from the University of District of Columbia won the women's meet. Alex Jordan (23rd) was the top finisher for Anderson in the men's 10K event. Nate Parsons (28th) also recorded at top-30 finish. Queens University of Charlotte and Mars Hill finished 1-2 in the men's meet. Daniel Kanyyaruhuru of Queens won the men's meet.
