WINGATE, N.C. -- The Anderson University men placed four runners in the top 20 to finish third in the Wingate University Invitational Saturday morning. Wingate will be the site of the NCAA Southeast Regional on Nov. 3. Alabama-Huntsville won the men's event with 48 points. Concord was second with 80 points, Anderson was third with 90 points, Lincoln Memorial was fourth with 94 points, and St. Andrews Presbyterian rounded out the top five with 149 points. Nate Parsons was Anderson's top finisher in the 10K event. Parsons finished 14th with a time of 35:31. Following Parsons and finishing in the top 20 for Anderson were Jason Bryan (15th, 35:33), Alex Jordan (18th, 35:45), and Jeremy Hunsaker (19th, 35:46). In the women's 6K event, Anderson did not post a team score because it fielded just four runners. The Lady Trojans were led by Diana Willard, who finished 16th with a time of 25:55.
