THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Anderson University's Jennifer Hitt has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's cross country Runner of the Week for the first week of 2007. The three-time league individual champion got her senior season off to a good start with a second-place finish in the Maxwell/Lander Invitational. Hitt was one of two runners in the 5K race to break the 20-minute mark with a time of 19:59. The Fountain Inn, S.C. native helped lead the Lady Trojans to a first-place finish in the seven-team event.
