THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Anderson University's Jennifer Hitt has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's cross country Runner of the Week for week number four of the 2007 season. Hitt, a native of Fountain Inn, S.C., also received the award in week one this year. Hitt returned from injury to win her first race of the season. She was the only runner in the field at the Limestone Invitational to break the 20-minute barrier (19:24). She won the event by 47 seconds over teammate Diana Willard. In two races this season, she has recorded two top-two finishes and finished in less than 20 minutes both times. Her win helped lead Anderson to the team victory in the nine-team Limestone event, the second team victory for the Lady Trojans this season.
