WINGATE, N.C. -- The Anderson College women's cross country team finished fourth in the 21-team Wingate Invitational Saturday morning on a soggy and muddy Wingate cross country course. The Anderson men's team tied for ninth place with CVAC rival Pfeiffer in an 18-team field and received another top-10 finish from freshman Ethan Schaffner, who finished fifth with a time of 34:54. In three meets, Schaffner's lowest finish is 11th. The Lady Trojans placed three runners in the top 25 -- Jennifer Hitt (6th, 24:19), Ashley Smoak (16th, 24:58), and Kacey Harold (25th, 25:23). Matt Atkinson (39th, 37:50) and Patrick Burt (47th, 38:11) both finished in the top 50 for the Anderson men. Season Results
