MATCH FACTS

  • AU has won 9 of its last 11 true road matches, with the lone losses coming this season to Emmanuel and last season to Wingate.
  • The last meeting between the two schools came in 2010. It was Anderson's first season in the SAC, and Pfeiffer was a member of Conference Carolinas.
  • Pfeiffer took 2 of the 3 doubles matches in that last meeting, but the Trojans bounced back to sweep all six singles matches en route to a 7-2 win.
  • AU has not played a current USA South Athletic Conference opponent since defeating Brevard twice in the 2016-17 season. Brevard was a SAC member at that time.

SCOUTING THE FALCONS

  • Pfeiffer posted a 13-8 overall record in the 2022-23 season, including a 5-2 record in the USA South Athletic Conference.
  • Of the team's six home wins, four came by 9-0 sweeps.
  • Head coach Justin Fainter leads both the men's and women's tennis programs in his second stint at Pfeiffer. Under his coaching, the women's team captured the 2015 Conference Carolinas Championship, while both programs have seen players honored with several all-conference selections.
  • The Falcons return 5 of 6 starters in singles, headlined by Benedikt Pfeiffer. The graduate student from Schliersee, Germany compiled an 11-4 record at the No. 2 singles spot a year ago, while teaming with senior Aleix Garrido for an 11-3 record at No. 2 doubles.
