North Georgia Scores Three In Eighth To Beat AU

DAHLONEGA, Ga. -- North Georgia scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to pull out a 9-6 victory over Anderson University in a non-conference game Tuesday night. With the game tied at 6 in the eighth, North Georgia (22-13) loaded the bases with a walk, a single, and an error then got a hit batter and a two-run single by Anders Oster to take a 9-6 lead. Anderson (20-25) hit three home runs in the game -- a solo shot by Tony Graham in the first, a solo shot by Kyle Lewis in the third, and a two-run homer by Ed Johnson in the third. Anderson was led by Johnson, who was 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, and by B.J. Smith, who was 2-for-5 with one RBI. Andre Airich was 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI for the Saints. North Georgia had 13 hits, while Anderson had 10. Anderson plays host to Catawba Wednesday. Anderson University Baseball Season Statistics
