ANDERSON, S.C. -- Anderson University has collected the first three points in the 2006-07 Anderson-Erskine Cup Sponsored By ARAMARK competition. Anderson earned the three points for having a higher graduation rate for student-athletes who entered in the fall of 2000. Anderson's graduation rate during that six-year period was 56 percent to Erskine's 50 percent. The top performing teams for Anderson were women's soccer (4-4), baseball (4-5), and women's tennis (3-4). Erskine has won the last two Cups and leads the annual competition, 2-1. The first on-field competition between the two schools is the soccer doubleheader at Anderson on Oct. 19.
