Coker's Ryan Schaeffer hit a two-run double in the second inning and scored on a triple by Brian Nally to give the Cobras a 4-0 lead. In the top of the third, Ben Davidson blasted a solo home run over the left field fence, but the Trojans answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning to cut the Coker lead to 5-2. Anderson used four hits and a sacrifice fly to score three runs and tie the game at 5 in the fourth inning.
