Graham Hits For The Cycle To Lead AU Past SWU

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Senior third basemen Tony Graham hit for the cycle and drove in the winning run to lead the Anderson University to a 13-10 victory over the Southern Wesleyan Wednesday night at Anderson Memorial Stadium. Graham completed the cycle in the seventh inning with a single that drove in Ed Johnson to give Anderson an 11-10 lead. Graham tied the game at 3 in the third inning with solo blast over the center field fence and gave Anderson the lead with a two-run triple to spark a three-run fourth to make it 6-3 in favor of the Trojans. After the Trojans scored two runs in the fifth to make it 8-3, the Warriors rallied to score five runs in the sixth, highlighted by a grand slam by Dustin Smith to tie the game at 8. Graham started a two-run sixth inning for Anderson with a double and scored on double by Kyle Lewis. John Mac White added Anderson's third double of the inning to score Lewis for a 10-8 lead. The Warriors tied the game at 10 in the seventh with two runs on two hits, but Graham delivered for the Trojans in the bottom of the seventh. Jonathan Pitts added two insurance runs in the eight with a two-run home run. Jordan Oates picked up his first collegiate win by working 1 2/3 innings. Brandon Sheriff earned his fifth save of the season. Dustin Belk took the loss for the Warriors. The Trojans were led offensively by Graham, who was 4-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored, and by White, who was 3-for-5 with three RBI.
