Trojans Top Coker In Season Finale; 1-0

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Anderson women's soccer team won its season finale, 1-0, over South Atlantic Conference opponent Coker on Wednesday evening at Coker Athletic Field.

With the win, the Trojans improve to (5-9-1, 3-7-1), while the Cobras drop to (1-11-2, 1-10 SAC).

After narrowly missing several opportunities in the first half of action, junior Kendal Simpson was able to capitalize in the 57th minute. Simpson's game-winning goal was her first of the season.

Anderson pressured the Cobras in the first half with 11 shots to Coker's three, while continuing their solid effort in the second half. For the game, AU outshot Coker 20(12) – 9(5). The Black and Gold also won the corner kick advantage 9-5.

Junior keeper Jeanette Campbell was credited with five saves, giving her a total of 112 stops for the year. Campbell currently leads the SAC in total saves.
