ANDERSON, S.C. -- Tara Davis scored two goals, one in each half to lead Barton to a 2-0 victory over Anderson College in a Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference match at Smethers Field. Barton improves to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the CVAC, while Anderson falls to 0-3-1, 0-1. Davis, a 5-foot-2 sophomore from Richlands, N.C., scored her first goal at the 21:30 mark off an assist from Eboni Nichols. Nichols punched a pass to the left wing and Davis drilled a shot into the AC net. Davis second goal came at 71:30. She dribbled down the left side and fired a 10-yard shot to give the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead. Barton had 16 shots to 14 for Anderson.
