Cam Weeks Picks Up 400th Career Ground Ball in Win Over Tusculum

GREENEVILLE, TENN. - The Anderson University men's lacrosse team picked up another South Atlantic Conference victory on the road with a 19-9 win over the Tusculum Pioneers on Wednesday (Mar. 15).

All-American faceoff specialist Cam Weeks was dominant once again, winning 17 of his 22 attempts with 13 ground balls. His third GB of the afternoon was the 400th of his career at Anderson. Thanks to Weeks' efforts, the Trojans were able to control possession early on, jumping out to a 5-1 lead on goals from five different players: Ryley Zopfi, Radyn Badraun, Logan Gaddis, Garrett Hawkins, and Ryan Bitterman. Bitterman was one of three players to finish with a hat trick, along with Logan Gaddis and Radyn Badraun, who led the team with five goals.

Defensively, Anderson was dominant as five players caused multiple turnovers: Diego Lopez (3), Mason Gore (2), Logan Gaddis (2), Tagrt Houghton (2), and Peyton Jefferson (2). Goalie Hunter Klosterman finished with 10 saves, while Bryce Cheek picked up one in five minutes of action. Chase Robertson, Mason Gore, and Tagrt Houghton all picked up four ground balls.

The Trojans will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 18) as they travel to Greenwood, S.C. to take on the Lander Bearcats. Video and live stats are available at autrojans.com.
