Track Travels to New England

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Anderson men and women's track and field teams continue indoor season with a trip to New England this weekend (Feb. 9-10) to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University.

"We're excited to be traveling to the biggest NCAA indoor meet of the entire season," said head coach Kevin Eagle. "We know that with the training we've put in, along with the atmosphere of the competition, we have no reason to not perform at our absolute best."

Six student-athletes will be representing the Trojans:

Junior Lacey Boozer (Simpsonville, S.C.) - Women's 400-meter dash

Senior Brianna Quartararo (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) - Women's 800-meter

Sophomore Emma Whitaker (Inman, S.C.) - Women's 800-meter

Freshman Kennedy Roush (Greenville, S.C.) - Women's 5000-meter

Sophomore Adam Trusty (Greer, S.C.) - Men's 800-meter

Sophomore Elliot Dotson (Greenville, S.C.) - Men's mile

"It's always fun to go to meets like this when you know the competition is not going to disappoint," said Eagle. "The athletes just need to focus on executing their individual race plan and leave no doubt that they performed at their absolute best."

The meet will be streamed here.

Anderson will travel back to Columbia, S.C. next weekend (Feb. 16) for one final meet before the South Atlantic Conference Indoor Championships the following week (Feb. 24-25) in Winston-Salem, N.C.
