ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Anderson's Elliot Dotson (Greenville, S.C.) has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Dotson competed in the men's mile race at the App State Open last week, breaking the school record with a 4:01.76 race. The time is fastest across NCAA Division II this season and ranks fourth all-time for the outdoor mile.
Dotson's converted 1500-meter time of 3:43.84 leads the SAC and ranks ninth in NCAA, securing his spot in the event at the NCAA Championships at the end of the season.
