Trojans Win Over Augusta; 4-3

Augusta, Ga. – Anderson University women's tennis team defeated nonconference opponent Augusta on Sunday afternoon in Augusta, Ga.  

With the win, the Trojans move to 12-3 overall while the Jaguars fall to 6-4 overall.

Dropping the No. 1 flight in doubles, the Trojans earned the opening point winning the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Anderson won the opening singles point to mover to 2-0 for the match moving to 3-1 after Megan Pleasant defeated her opponent in straight sets. The Jaguars tied the match 3-3 with senior Mirna Curcic clinching the match by winning a three-set thriller.

Anderson will take a 10 day break before welcoming SAC opponent Mars Hill. First-serve is scheduled for 2 pm.
